History
The Historic Hotel Greybull was built between 1914 and 1918 during Wyoming's oil and gas
boom.  It started as the Greybull State Bank which was located on the corner where our lobby is now. You can even step into the original bank vault.

The start of the Great Depression caused the failure of the bank in 1927. Joe Carey, an enterprising  business man and bootlegger, then bought the building and continued with the hotel and retail spaces.  He added a Packard Dealership and a Speakeasy in the basement for his illecit underground operation.  You can still see the outline of the tunnel entrances that were used all over town to elude the authorities. Joe & Clara Carey ran the hotel until he passed away at a ripe old age.  Clara continued to live in the hotel and rent rooms until 1994.

Myles Foley and Lori Davis purchased the building in 2008 and are working to bring it back to its original grandour.
